Next to my classroom at school is the girl's bathroom. Our building is a temporary building that reached it's life expectancy several years ago. The other day a little visitor moved in with us. A five foot Beauty Snake found a hole and made a nest in the wall next to one of the stalls in the girl's bathroom. During the night it had gone in the bathroom and shed it's skin. One of our teachers found the skin and about had a heart attack right on the spot.
We called animal control who came and removed the snake...the bathroom is now closed until further notice.

Mom's Garden
Mom definitely has the green thumb. She is so proud of her growing garden, especially her tomatoes. She has flowers, potted plants, various trees, several shrubs, cilantro, basil, rosemary, and of course tomatoes. I can't wait for these blossoms to become huge, juicy, delicious tomatoes.

Shop til ya drop
After a nice Thanksgiving dinner the girls all decided to go shopping. On the way home Bekah had finally had more than she could handle and it was lights out before even leaving the parking lot. Jess and Molli of course never looked fresher and like they could go shopping a bit more. Their shopping stamina is unquestionably peaking just in time for the holidays.

Some Photo's From Elder Folsom
Bobby sent a cute card "Hannah Montana" (Too funny) for Molli's birthday along with a CD full of pictures that he has taken. The pumpkin carving was his idea and the Hummer was taken just for Molli (She loves Hummers.) Elder Folsom has been able to hitch a few rides in it, along with the Mustang.

Molli Is A Year Older

and is loving it. She had a fun party here at the house, we had pizza, cake, unlimited supply of soda, then Molli and all her friends went to the movies on Courtney. How Dale got them all in the Surf is beyond me. All the girls had fun that night, she got some awesome gifts.
She is loving her new cell phone, however she is also getting use the term "Softbank" calls only.

The first of the November Jess and Molli went to our District Youth Conference. While there they went to the Forest Adventure Park where they had a chance to go on a zip line. In this picture try to see the person on the zip line gliding through the trees. Jess is getting ready to jump. They had a great time and a very memorable experience.

Missing My Grandson Fix
Because we live in Japan, I'm not able to see my grandson Jaden very often, so I have found a way to help deal with this. I have taken on a surrogate boy. His name is Evan and he belong to a very good friend of mine. As you can tell he is full on energy. He is always wanting to go to "Delene's house" and of course we all eat that up. We see things that he does and comment with "this is what Jaden will be doing this summer". Thanks Heather.
JADEN, I MISS YOU!!!!

Our Super Hero

This is the "Wall" we have dedicated to Elder Folsom. If you can tell, we have photos of him with his different companions and leaders, also a current letter home. We miss him dearly, we look forward to his letters weekly. He already has had a Baptism and many prospects. He is really enjoying his mission, we can really see so many changes in him. YOU GO BOBBY!!

Happy 16th Jessica

Jessica is finally 16 years old, and is now in the process of getting her drivers license, so all of you Okinawa friends be aware!!. Just kidding, she will be a good driver (we hope). This is a photo of her and Dale having her birthday dinner at Chilis, we really don't have much of a selection here.
We are very proud of Jessica she is really a great person, you'd never know she only weighted 3 pounds at birth.

Jaden
Are grandson Jaden is so darn cute, here are photo's taken today. He and his dad Jared are carving the pumpkin that his mom Dena grew in the backyard. They have been trying to tell us just how big this pumpkin is, but until you see a photo of it...wow.It's hard to imagine.

Target Shooting
One of the fun things that we get to do each summer is head to the hills and shoot up some targets. I must say that the kids are all pretty good shots. It's amazing how a little motivation can inspire someone. Once I offered the girls a dollar each time they hit the target, they each went plink, plink, plink and had $10 each. When we brought out the clay pigeons Dane and Bobby showed that they are real crack shots. Fun times!

What is the worst smell ever?

If you really want to know, come to my house and mosey over to the right side near the garbage cans. OMG it's disgusting. Dale had gone deep sea fishing for Tuna, be brings them home to skin and gut, well he puts their remains in some garbage bags, which then went into the cans outside of the house. OK for those of you who have never been to Okinawa, it's HUMID here, actually it's been 98% humidity along with 86 degree weather. So can you start imagine the smell I'm referring to? well it gets worse, because the Japanese men do not come to get it until 4 days later, and in the mean time it's been raining off and on. So now picture dead fish heads, slimy fish skin, bloated fish eye's swimming in hot, humid garbage bags. When they finally came to get the garbage, it was so heavy they had to drag the bags to the sidewalk, and yes, they left a trail of fish stench so every time ANYBODY walks by the house, they get introduced to their worst smell EVER.

Birthdays
Well Jessica is now "16", we are trying to figure out when the "sweet" part comes into play. She is wanting to get her drivers license soon, but she knows the rules for that. One being she needs to walk down the hallway without running into the walls. Will let you know if and when that happens.
Elder Folsom just had his birthday also, we miss him and hope they had something special there for him. I know a lot of you are sending him letters and care packages, know that he really appreciates it and he will be writing you back.
Oh and guess what?... Molli is finally loving her hair, we are so excited about that. We have been telling her that some females would KILL for that hair and now she "believes".

School Is OPEN
We are trying to decide if that's a good thing or not. I'm leaning towards "NOT". Jessica and Molli are doing good, they are getting into the routine of things, not having Bobby around means extra chores and no lines from his favorite movies being said at the right time, but we are adjusting. We sure miss the Family back in the States, wishing we could see them more often.

A Letter From Elder Folsom
We received the first letter from Elder Folsom today, he sounded GREAT. A little tired but he sounded peaceful. He wanted everyone to know that while he is in the MTC he is able to receive letter through www.dearelder.com, but will only be able to reply though email to immediate family, all other communication from him will be through snail mail. He hopes that will change once he gets to Oakland.
His "P" day while in the MTC is Thursday.
We are so proud of him and miss him everyday, knowing where he is and the work he is doing makes it all worth it.

BBQ
While we were in St George we had a farewell BBQ, my brother Lorin and his wonderful wife Remle offered their home. We played and splashed all day long. We only had 7 days in St George so it made it hard to do all we wanted to, but visiting with the family made it a very enjoyable time for all.

He's Gone!!
Elder Robert Rendell Folsom entered the MTC in Provo, Utah on August 6th, 2008. He was able to spend time with family in Ogden and St George, also 4 days camping in Yellowstone National Park. He is expected to leave for Oakland on the 27th. We are going to miss his humor and love, but knowing he is serving our Lord we can rest assured we will all be blessed.

On the way to church we decided to take a picture.
Molli has been playing with Photoshop so tonight we decided to create mirror image of her.
On May 30th the kids and I went to Okuma to play for the weekend. We brought a few friends and we had a great time.

In March Bobby and I had a chance to go fishing. We caught well over 250 small yellow fin tuna. Bobby caught the biggest fish of the day. They averaged around 3-6 lbs each. We split them three ways which meant that Bobby and I spent most of the next day filleting fish.

Beginning

Mom had a wonderful time last March when she was able to go home for a visit. When asked why she went her answer was always, "so I can play with Jaden, my grandson."
